Local Warming was all about embracing winter! These small alpine huts were unexpected and immersive structures that acted as gathering points for Edmontonians to discover on a cold winter day. By placing warming huts strategically throughout the River Valley, our aim was to help Edmontonians reconnect with their community, the city, and nature year-round. This four-year pilot project received extremely positive feedback from COE representatives and the public.
